Nostalgic films are often referred to the 1930s-Shanghai-topic films that have been shown all over the country since 1990.The old Shanghai displayed in these films,different from the one in the 1930s films,is given a weak political image and characteristic of the internationality,consumption and vulgarity.As one of the mass media,nostalgic films create a fictional Shanghai that shapes the real Shanghai's international identity and everyday consumption culture,and,by way of the interaction with the Shanghai's cultural construction,influence its developing tendency of culture.
