Ethics of Benevolence in Dufu's Poets and its Contemporary Value

Du fu who was born in an official family in the practice of Confucianism, was one of Chinese great poets in Tang dynasty. He inherited Confucius and Meneius＇ ethics of benevolece ideas, and regarded Confucianism as his spiritual home of living. This paper first expounds the main content of ethics of benevolece ideas contained in Dufu＇s poets, and their basic characteristics, then analyses positive practical significance of ethics of benevolece ideas existed in Dufu＇s poets to the contemporary society from the following aspects like mutual love and help among the people, achieving coprosperity with nature and so on.
