自指、共指、他指与教师身份建构——以优秀教师说课话语为例

摘    要:
说课是当代教师元教学行为的重要组成部分,说课话语中的代词使用是教师身份建构的重要方式。基于Gee的自指陈述身份建构分析法,选取优秀英语教师说课话语个案为语料,通过对说课话语中代词使用的分析,结合课堂观察和专家点评,探讨教师说课话语中自指陈述、共指陈述和他指陈述的使用类别及频次,分析其建构的教师身份及特征。研究发现,在三类陈述中,以自指陈述居多。自指陈述以状态行为陈述和情感陈述为主,共指陈述以状态行为陈述为主,而他指陈述以能力制约陈述、情感陈述和状态行为陈述为主,三类陈述通过不同的手段和方式,建构了多元化和动态性的情景身份、职业身份和关系身份,说课教师的身份具有社会文化语言学的身份建构特征。对说课话语中代词陈述的身份建构研究拓展了Gee的自指陈述身份建构分析法,丰富了教师身份研究的范围,可为课堂教学评价和教师发展提供参考。

Abstract:
Teachers'' presentation of lesson planning is an important part of the meta-teaching actions.This study investigates the use of personal pronouns and identity construction in teachers'' presentation of lesson planning.Five excellent teachers'' presentations of lesson planning in national teaching contests were collected as the main data for a case study,with their teaching videos and comments from expert teachers as the supplementary data.Drawing on the socio-cultural linguistic theory of identity and Gee''s I-statement analysis on identity,this paper gives a statistical account of the categories and frequency of I-statements,we-statements and they-statements,and investigates the ways these statements are used in the construction of teacher identity.Results show that among the three pronoun statements,I-statements are most frequently used.State and action statements,and affective statements are most frequently used category in I-statements;state and action statements account most in we-statements;ability and constraint statements,affective statements,and state and action statements are most frequently used in they-statements.Each of the three pronoun statements contribute to the construction of multiple and dynamic teacher identities,including situational identity,professional identity and relational identity,by distinctive means.The features of teacher identity examined in this study are consistent with the socio-cultural linguistic theory of identity.By analyzing the identity construction of pronoun-statements,this study extends the Gee''s I-statement analysis on identity and enriches the scope of teacher identity research.This study will contribute to the evaluation of classroom teaching and teacher development.
