吴越兴亡

吴越的历史在春秋时代前期是个空白,春秋后期始见记载。吴越的活动地域在太湖流域。从地下发掘材料看,这个地区的文化还是很悠久的。这一地区自然产品丰富,但它的社会组织松散,基层存在许多农村公社,这应当是吴越兴亡的重要原因之一。

The Rise and Fall of Wu and Yue Kingdoms

In historical records, there was blank of Wu and Yue kingdoms in the early stage of Spring and Autumn Period but came to be recorded in its later time. The area where Wu and Yue people lived covered Tai Lake region, which had enjoyed long history and culture according to the unearthed findings. Though rich in natural resources, this region was loosely organized and there were many communes in the countryside, which must have been one of the important causes that accounted for the rise and fall of Wu and Yue.
