| Abstract: | Euphemism is a common phenomenon of language,which is not only a figure of speech but also a culture phenomenon.This paper tries to investigate in terms of pragmatics to the formation of euphemism and list the ways of its formation in English and Chinese so that the understanding and application of euphemism can be strengthened and the learners' ability of cross-cultural communication can be improved. |
