试论国家身份及其建构路径

国家身份是国家自我理解、表达以及他者对此所反馈的一种"意象",包括自然属性与社会属性两个层面。本文侧重分析后者,即国家在国际社会上的地位、角色以及与他国的关系定位。作为国家利益的指向标,国家身份的建构主要通过外交政策的实施以及国际规则的约束这两条路径进行。身份差异带来了大国关系处理的难题,中国作为崛起中大国,也面临国家重塑身份的挑战。如何在各种不同的国际"规则"之间选择性参与,并进行再诠释与再塑造,直接体现了中国对现存国际秩序的态度,也是再塑国家身份的关键。

On National Identity and Approaches of Its Construction

National identity is the image of how a country interprets and expresses itself as well as other countries＇ reflections to it, which includes both natural and social aspects.This article analyzes the latter one, that is, the position and role of the country in international society.National identity directs the behavior of the country, and the differences of identities challenge relations between countries, which require a country to construct and manage its identity.There maybe two ways, practice of diplomacy and interaction toward international rules.As an emerging power,China also confronts the challenges of identity construction.
