试论影响翻译策略的文化因素

归化与异化是翻译策略的两个极端,译者受到社会文化和译者个体两方面因素的影响,往往会倾向于某个极端。研究归化异化问题必须综合考虑多种文化因素,这有利于拓展翻译理论研究的视野,能给翻译研究带来生机和活力。

On Cultural Factors that Influence Translation Strategy

Domestication and foreignization are two extremes of translation strategy.The translator will generally be inclined to either of them due to diverse subjective and objective conditions.This paper analyzes how cultural factors influence the choice of translation strategies from the two perspectives of both the society and the translator.It holds that cultural factors should be taken into account when considering the distinction between domestication and foreignization,thus expanding the horizon of translation studies and introducing with it vitality to translation research.
