《庄子·外物》"两陷"解读

《庄子·外物》中的重要概念"两陷",并非指"陷入利害两端",而是指陷入是非善恶两端的价值偏执,从而造成选择上的困境.庄子试图消解善恶是非观念的偏执,"不谴是非",摆脱人们所面临的道德困境.这虽然满足了一批隐逸之士的精神需要,但就社会整体而言,和谐的社会秩序必须以良好的道德关系为基础,只有重树道德主体的自觉意识和价值信念,才能真正解决"两陷"问题.

An Interpretation of the Concept of "Two Biases" in "the External Thing" of Zhuangzi

" The Two Biases",an important concept put forward in "the External Thing" of Zhuangzi.The "Two Biases" by no means refers to "falling into the two ends of gains and losses",but refers to falling into the biased value judgment of what is right and wrong and what is good and evil,thus resulting in the dilemma of one's choice.Zhuangzi attempts to dispel the biased idea of the distinction between the good and evil,right and wrong and sticks to the principle of "No distinction between the right and wrong",therefore extricating people from their moral predicament.However,although this idea meets the spiritual needs of the hermits,the harmonious social order must be based on the proper moral relationship.Only after the moral perceivers reconstruct their self-consciousness and the faith of value,could the problem of the "two biases" be truly solved.
