元杂剧中的婚姻及时戏

元代爱情题材杂剧中女主角的年龄集中在18~21岁之间,相对于古代女性15—20的适婚年龄来说,她们都可以被称为失婚女。杂剧作家关注的是大龄女子的婚姻问题。在中国文学史上,元杂剧成为大量关注"失时女"的惟一一种艺术形式。父亲没有或者无法尽到使女儿及时出嫁的义务是使婚恋戏中的男女结合"发乎情,止于礼义"的一种叙事策略。因此,以前称为爱情剧的元代婚恋杂剧,实为婚姻及时戏。
