| 摘 要： | “湘阴双杰”郭嵩焘、左宗棠,是近代湖湘文化孕育出来的杰出的爱国主义者。在抵抗外侮,学习西方,富国自强的理论和实践中,既凝聚着二人浓浓的爱国情怀,又体现着二人爱国主义思想的差异。从爱国主义的历史功业来看,左宗棠超过郭嵩焘;从爱国主义思想认识来看,则郭嵩焘领先于左宗棠。

| Abstract: | The two great men from Xiangyin", Guo Songtao and Zuo Zongtang, were two outstanding patriots of modern times born and bred in Hunan. Their patriotic feelings and ideas found full expression in the theory and practice of their resisting foreign invasion,learning form the west and trying to bring prosperity to China Yet there were differences between the two men. Zuo's patriotic achievements were greater than Guo's, but in terms of patriotic ideas and understanding, Guo surpassed Zuo. |
