| Abstract: | Based on a survey of Shenzhen theatre history, the paper analyses the internal and external causes for the formation of Shenzhen experimental theatre and discusses its status in the current Shenzhen theatre and its influence in Chinese drama both at home and abroad. It also points out the indispensable role experimental theatre plays in the urban cultural ecology. |
