贾宝玉崇尚自然的石性特质溯源

在《红楼梦》中,女娲补天和木石前盟的共通之处在于都表现出贾宝玉崇尚自然的石性特质。在女娲补天中,石头经过女娲的锻炼获得了自然赋予的灵性,是贾宝玉在现世中对纯情男女特别是纯情女性产生广泛依恋的原因;但因宝玉的石性特质源自自然精华,不入流俗,所以石性不改。在木石前盟中,宝玉是石,黛玉是木,石与木的意象暗含了宝黛爱情是一种自然本质之爱、天长地久之爱。贾宝玉这一形象的塑造是人的生命与自然生命的对接与融合。

The Origin of the Stone Personality of Jia Bao-yu''''s Worship of the Nature

There are two fairy tales in the beginning of A Dream of Red Mansions. One is the tale of sky-mending, the other is the tale of the ex-alliance of the wood and the stone. The two tales have something in common. They both reveal the nature of the stone, in other words, the nature of Jia Bao-yu (worship of nature). In the tale of sky-mending, the special stone has obtained intelligence from nature after the goodness Nvwa who does the mending job has refined it, which is the very reason why Jia Bao-yu, the incarnation of the stone, is so attached to women, the symbol of nature in the novel. Jia’s stone nature comes from natural essence, so it is pure and uncommon. In the tale of the ex-alliance of the wood and the stone, Bao-yu is the incarnation of the stone while Dai-yu is the incarnation of the wood. The ex-alliance of the stone and the wood implies that the love between Bao-yu and Dai-yu is natural, pure and everlasting. Therefore, the creation of the image of Jia Bao-yu shows that the life of man blends well with the life of nature.
