| Abstract: | The Characteristics of legal English style are composed of concision,formality,objectiveness,delicacy and coherence.According to Functional Linguistics,nominalization of metaphor plays a very important role in the style.The discourse functions of nominalization are discussed in legal language from micro perspective in the paper and it concludes that nominalization is a very important characteristic in literal and formal style of legal English.Properly using nominalization can help us to express our ideas concisely,delicately and rationally. |
