对建设世界一流大学的几点认识

建设世界一流大学是我国高等教育发展的必然要求 ,也是我国高等教育走向世界 ,参与国际科技竞争 ,增强国力的必然选择。但是 ,我国的大学与世界一流大学相比在高水平教师队伍、原创性和创新性的科研成果、科学管理和良好的办学秩序、办学经费等方面都存在很大的差距。因此 ,要下大力气 ,加快建设 ,尤其要突出建设一支具有创造能力和创新意识 ,高素质、高水平的教师队伍 ;要瞄准国际科学技术最前沿 ,建设一流的学科 ;要建设具有一流水平的管理和服务体系。

Some Reflections on the Construction of First-Class Universities in the World

To construct a group of first-class universities in the world is a task of utmost necessity for the development of our country's higher education. It is also our inevitable choice to integrate our higher education into the world, and therefore enable ourselves to participate the global competitions in technologies and to upgrade our national power. However, it is also known that our higher education still lags far behind the first-class universities in the world in need of prestigious teachers, originative and innovative academic achievements, scientific management and favorable running orders, and sufficient operation funds. Therefore, to fulfil this grand task, we should construct a high quality teaching body with a good sense of creativity and innovation, establish first-class disciplines aiming at the furthest frontier of the development of the global science and technology, and build up a top-ranking service and management system.
