| Abstract: | This paper briefly analyses the historical background,psychological characteristics and personality of the characters in the novel of A Dream of Red Mansion with the comparison of translated version of the novel by Yang Xianyi and his wife in view of the words from different characters.Furthermore,the authors try to give some comments on the methods that the translators used in dealing with them. |
