通货为本 鬻奇为末——王符《潜夫论》中商之本末说论析

东汉王符撰写的政论著作《潜夫论》共三十六篇,其中《务本》、《浮侈》、《爱日》等篇专论经济。针对东汉和帝、安帝时期政治昏暗、贵戚宠臣穷奢极欲,从而引发虚伪游手浮食众多、本末不足相供的现状,王符提出农工商均可富民的经济观点。认为农工商各有本末之分,强调"夫富民者,以农桑为本,以游业为末;百工者,以致用为本,以巧饰为末;商贾者,以通货为本,以鬻奇为末",只要各务其本、各抑其末,就会最终实现"富民","成太平之基,致休征之祥"。
