| 摘 要： | 17世纪二三十年代,英国清教徒移民将清教契约思想带入英属北美新英格兰殖民地.清教契约思想以<圣经>为依据,以世人对上帝的虔诚为核心,主要是对世人与上帝以及人们相互之间关系的规范.该思想被运用到新英格兰殖民地地方教会与世俗社会生活中.它所反映的自愿、平等、自由等思想与启蒙思想家的"天赋人权"、"社会契约论"等有着惊人的相似之处.这对新英格兰地方自治乃至美国民主都产生了深远的影响.
