| Abstract: | This paper points out that great changes have been taking place in Chinese vocabulary since China's reform and opening and that one of the most obvious features of these changes is that Chinese has been borrowing a great number of words from other languages.It holds that the newly borrowed words are not only products of the reform and opening drive but reflect its fruitful results to a certain extent. |
