| Abstract: | Comparative approach is an important one in historiography. Mr. Liang Qi-chao expounded its connotations and functions, which helped the theoretical development of modern historiography. Mr. Liang consciously applied this approach to the study of both Chinese history and the histories of other countries and his achievements in this field still have much academic value today. |
