On the Narrative Features and Background of the novel The Red Moon

The Red Moon is an excellent recently published Japanese fiction set in the Northeast of China.The novel begins with the scene where teenager Moritaheko,the persona of the author,witnessed the grim beheading of Alianna,the former Soviet spy and depicts vividly the story of how Moritayu-taro and his wife Morita-namiko embarked on the vast land of northeastern China together with the Guandong Imperial Japanese Army and how the couple achieved their goal of becoming the largest distillery in the then puppet colony in northeastern China.
