| Abstract: | Theme-rheme theory has long been the concern of many language researchers.This paper discusses the function of theme-rheme structures in argumentative passages and presents the explanatory power of the theory to argumentation.In this paper,corpus-based method is used to analyze the features of thematic progression pattern in this genre. |
