王念孙“‘惰’、‘循’形近而误”说献疑

王念孙认为典籍中“倚”和“循”常常“形近而误”，并将大量的“倚”校改为“循”。但对典籍中“惰”和“循”的致误情况进行统计，发现“倚”几乎都是在表遵循义时被认为由“循”所误，而表其他义时则不被言误，用“形近而误’’说无法对此作出合理解释。对大量语言材料进行分析的结果也表明：“倚”与“循”同有遵循义，不烦校改。
