Its substance and basic requirements are reflected in three respects. First, it is a glorious thing to become rich and prosperous while poverty is not socialism. Second, common prosperity is neither polarization between the rich and the poor nor equal prosperity. Third, common prosperity does not mean synchronous prosperity but demands that those who become rich first bring along those who have not become rich. To advocate in society the correct attitude to becoming rich and the lofty morality of bringing along those who have not become rich will inject vim and vigour and internal motivation into the socialist market economy, ensure that the market economy will operate in a normal and orderly manner and lend moral support and impetus to the realization of the social value of the socialist market economy.
