论英国伯明翰学派种族文化研究的本土意识与文化建构

英国伯明翰学派的种族维度探讨不仅是英国社会结构的一种反应,也是英国文化面临美国大众文化冲击下的一种本土回应。伯明翰学派不仅发现了英国青年亚文化中的种族文化(主要是黑人文化)元素,分析了种族文化与工人阶级文化结合的成因,而且认识到英国青年亚文化的种族文化既有对美国流行文化的吸收,更是基于英国本土社会经验的独特黑人文化,由此提出"新种族性"问题,并力图在宣扬英国特性的主流文化中警醒世人种族文化的存在及其差异性,警惕全球化时代种族排他性的危险。

A Review on the Local Consciousness and Cultural Construction of Ethnic

Birmingham School studies youth sub-culture and its ethnic culture(mainly refers to black culture).Its ethnic cultural study is not only a reflection of British Social structure,but also a local reaction on American popular culture.Birmingham School found the ethnic parts in youth sub-culture,analyzed the reason why ethnic culture and working-class culture worked together,and realized that ethnic culture in youth sub-culture was from American popular culture and also melt British black experience.So they argued the concept "New Ethnicity" and tried to warm people the existence of ethnic culture and its difference,the danger for exclusive of ethnic culture.
