孙中山对改造国民劣根性的思考

辛亥革命的失败以及社会建设中遇到的种种挫折使孙中山反思国民劣根性的问题。他认为国民身上有许多的优点,但也存在着十个方面的缺点。他认为国民的劣根性产生的政治根源是封建专制制度,但对国民劣根性产生的经济原因重视不够。要改造国民的劣根性,首先必须发展生产力;其次是建立现代政治经济制度;再次培养国民良好的思维和行为习惯;最后是注重对国民的科学文化和道德教育。他对国民劣根性的改造方法是比较系统和全面的,对今天具有一定的指导意义。

Sun Yat-sen pondered on the problem of the citizens' bad quality after the failure of the Revolution of 1911 and the reverses of social construction. He thought that the citizens had many merits and ten demerits. He thought that citizens'bad quality was born of the fedual autocracy, but it was paid little attention to economical reasons. In order to transform citizens' bad quality, firstly, productive forces must be developed; Secondly, modern political and economic institutions must be set up; Thirdly, citizens' good thinking and action habits must be trained; and Lastly, the citizens' science culture and morality must be valued. His transformation methods of citizens' bad quality was more comprehensive than others, thus has significance for today's practice.
