新形势下应大力弘扬求真务实精神

求真务实,是辩证唯物主义和历史唯物主义一以贯之的科学精神,是我们党的思想路线的核心内容,也是党的优良传统和共产党人应该具备的政治品格。为实现党的十六大提出的全面建设小康社会的目标,我们必须进一步落实党的解放思想、实事求是的思想路线,但党的思想路线的落实又必须根据党所面临的问题提出具体要求,胡锦涛同志提出的求真务实的要求,实际上就是落实党的思想路线在今天的具体要求。

Matter-of-fact attitude is the consistent scientific spirit of dialectical and historical materialism, the core of ideological line of the Party, and the Party's fine tradition and a necessary political quality each party member should have. In order to turn into reality the goal of constructing over-all well-to-do society of the Party, we must step by step carry out the ideological line of emancipating the mind and basing on facts according to the actual problems we may face.
