| Abstract: | During the War of Resistance Against Japan, there were two precipitate retreats in the Kuomintang frontline battlefield. One was in the early period of the war(July 7, 1937-October 1938), the other took place in the Henan-Hunan-Guangxi Battle in the late period. By an analysis of the battlefield conditions of the two precipitate retreats and a comparison of the causes and different consequences they brought about, we claim that the two precipitate retreats can not be mentioned in the same breath. |
