| 摘 要： | 近代学人提出的“学术独立”观念,一直是中国社会颇具争议的问题。事实上,立于近代语境中深入考察,其涵义实多歧而微妙。它是近代中国民族主义思潮的一个侧面,寻求中国学术能独立于西方;也是近代学人追求学术自由的一种反映,吁求学术能独立于政治;更是近代学人治学态度的体现,对实用价值的一种超越,即学术能独立于“致用”。

| Abstract: | The paper ventures to interpret the much controversial notion of"Academic Independence" in modern China,and demonstrates that the notion is actually ambiguous and subtle in modern context.The issue mirrors a profile of the nationalist ideological trend in modern China to win academic independence from the West.It also reflects Chinese scholars' concurrent pursuit of academic freedom from politics.Moreover,it embodies an attitude towards academic study as independent from its practical application. |
