Whoop and Narration:Modern Chinese Epic Poetry in 1930s

As a modern literary genre rooted in the collision and interflow between Chinese literature and western literature, epic poetry appeared and progressed with the development of 20 th century's Chinese literature, and modern culture as its background. By describing the forms of epic poetry of 1930s and investigating into its literary growth experience and aesthetic request, this paper intends to explore the evolution and the significance of epic poetry style in the context of the modern Chinese literature as a whole, and its effect upon the formation and the development of the framework of modern Chinese poetic style. Thereby, modern Chinese literary study is to be established on the narrative basis of the concrete history of literary style.
