Beyond Anthropocentrism and Non-anthropocentrism

In establishing ethical responsibilities for the ecological environment, both anthropocentrism and non anthropocentrism are not likely to become the general principles for guiding human behaviors because the foundation of human nature is neglected. The nature of ecological crisis is the crisis of human nature. Human nature in its modernity is the deep social root for most ecological crisis. Ecological ethics is based on the relationship between human being and natural world. Moreover, human nature and the innate character of humans have a logical identity with the mode of human beings in relation to the outer world. The search for human nature is deemed to be an inner requisition in the relationship between human beings and natural world when considering the construction of ecological ethics. A new concept of human nature, based on the relationship between human beings and nature, regards nature care as a revelation of human nature in term of the ethical principle.
