试论近代西藏的几次现代化尝试

近代西藏可谓是多事之秋。外临帝国主义列强的步步侵略 ,内困于各种政治宗教势力的争权夺利。西藏一方面要适应 2 0世纪日新月异的国际国内形势 ,变革图强 ;一方面又面临着各种保守势力 ,特别是宗教寺院集团的种种阻碍。在两者的夹缝中 ,西藏力图紧跟时代的步伐 ,进行了几次现代化尝试。本文就几次现代化的基本情况、作用及失败原因等作些探讨 ,以求对当今西藏社会的现代化有所借鉴。

On Several Modernization Attempts to Recent Tibet

The recent Tibet was trubled and puzzled by the imperialist aggression and strife for profits and authority among domestic political and religious forces.With view to meeting with the requirements for development,Tibet had conducted modernization for many times such as the new policy adopted by Zhangyintang and Lianyu at the end of the Qing Dynasty.Though the above mentioned trials failed to achieve their ends due to the limitation of times and social classes,searching and making augment of such basic materials as facts,influences and causes of the failures,argument shall be useful for Tibet's modernization in our times.
