The three virtue of gentleman which includes wisdom,humanity and courage is an entirety.The wisdom means rationality,the humanity belongs to emotional category,and both of them should be realized through the courage.However,the courage is different from the courageous action.The essence of gentleman’s courage is righteousness,its standard is propriety,and they are united by the humanity which is practicing with the aware of shame.In a word,courage is a will and its essence is moral rationality.
