| Abstract: | Language dictionaries in general do not define or find it difficult to define the issue of semantic view-angle and the issue of shift in meaning In this paper we discussed the problem of semantic view-angle in relation to meaning shift, with nouns viewed from the angle of metonymy as examples. Also, the paper attempts to describe this kind of linguistic phenomenon by means of a quasi-formal method. |
