James Wilson and the Development of Early American Federalism

During the development of early American federalism,there existed various visions of federalism,which competed and negotiated each other.Among them,James Wilson's vision was one of the most important one. From the constitutional debate before the War for Independence to the making and ratification of the Federal Constitution,Wilson,according to his deep understanding of the political theory and practice,expatiated the relationship between the whole and the part,and their respective powers and functions,therefore moved the development of early American federalism.
