An Exploration of a Neological Word Family of "Shai" in the Perspective of Language Memetics

Memetics is a new theory for interpreting cultural evolution. Language memes can appear at all levels of language in which vocabulary meme is a most active element. This article analyzes and explains neological vocabulary meme "Shai X" from the perspectives of formation process, pragmatic features, spreading characteristics and causes under the theory of language memetics. It aims to make a tentative effort to inject a note of new insight into the study of neologisms.
