＂Making history＂ is an important concept raised in the book Other Histories. This concept shows the process of anthropologists＇ commitment to historical research in the 20th century. Instead of the closed and static research methods, anthropology is now gradually moving toward a more open and dynamic study of culture. Anthropologists should first examine the past history of a community before stepping into the working field, and also must observe and consider thoroughly the memories and histories of different societies.
