英汉互译中被动语态的不对等现象

每一种语言都是由一定人群长期使用并代代相传下来的。漫长的使用过程使任何一种语言都带有其使用民族的文化印记,而这些文化印记又形成了各种语言不同的特点。这些语言特点和使用习惯给语言的互译工作造成了极大的困难。对英、汉语被动语态进行比较,指出其表达和使用习惯的差异引起的英、汉互译中的不对等现象,提出翻译中应遵循的规则和技巧。

Non- equivalence of the English and Chinese passive voice in translation

Every language has been used for a long time by a certain group of people,and handed down from one generation to another.And this makes all languages bear marks of culture,which reflect the different characteristics of different nations.The differences do not indicate that one language is superior to another,but they really pose ob- stacles,problems,and difficulties for translation.The influence of culture is obviously presented in the translation of passive voice between English and Chinese.The article begins with a comparison between English and Chinese pas- sive voice,followed by the explanation why it is not equivalent in translation.Finally it suggests some methods that can be used efficiently in translation.
