Abstract:In the Dong language "drum" is called "Gungl", "Jungl" or "Gungc". The "Guh Louc" in Dong minority does not include the meaning of "drum". Although the "Drum" in Dong minority indeed means "flat built -in drum", but not "must be suspended floor drum". In Dong minority, "the Drum Tower" is not "named because of drums". '" Dangc Wagx" (Tong Wa) is called as the "Drum" after the Han language was introduced into the Dong area. The name "Drum Tower" does not comply with the rules of word formation of the Dong language. "Drum Tower" is not the inherent word for the Dong minority, but borrowing from "Drum Tower" of the Chinese language.
