传统堡寨的社会性设防机制

堡寨是中国历史上一种普遍存在的聚落或建筑防御形式,而在其基本的外围线性设防的建筑实体形态之下,却包含着丰富的社会人文属性。基于此,从社会学研究的角度,针对堡寨的建造与运作的社会职能进行剖析,指出堡寨在发挥日常保安与抗患拒恶的防御作用的同时,仍有着控制拓展势力以及文化心理表达等方面的复合职能。围绕堡寨建设的组织管理权属性质,分析总结出社会基层聚落堡寨、自卫武力据点堡寨、国家军事防御堡寨三种主要类型。在综合考虑使用集团的动机意图与社会需求的基础上,揭示堡寨具有防卫与攻击的双面性格内涵。
