摘    要:英语词汇的意义演变是通过隐喻的方式进行的,隐喻是修辞现象,更是一种思维方式。隐喻对于词汇习得有着重要作用。概念隐喻理论应用于大学英语词汇教学具有较强的可行性和实效性,应改进当前的大学英语词汇教学方法。

Abstract:The meaning of words are evolved by means of metaphor.Because metaphor is not only a kind of rhetorical device but also a universal way of thinking.Metaphor plays an important role in the acquisition of vocabulary.The paper beginning from introduces the conceptual metaphor theory,analyzes the feasibility and effectiveness of its application in English vocabulary teaching and raise some methods for improve English vocabulary teaching.
