徘徊与超越——中国美学的现状和展望

中国美学目前正处于徘徊状态，原因主要在于其主流——实践美学固守且片面地理解了马克思主义经典著作中某些现成的结论，没能与当代美学理论与美学实践结合起来，其他诸多弊端也对此制约很大。中国美学首先要回到马克思主义美学，全面、准确地理解马克思主义美学思想，其次要克服自身发展中的弊端，还要借鉴西方马克思主义美学和当代其他理论成果，紧密联系美学实践，才能摆脱目前的困境，实现对自身的超越。

Marking time and transcendence

China's esthetics is now marking time mainly because its mainstream-practical esthetics-is constrained by and adheres stobbornly to a partial understanding of some ready-made conclusions found in Marxist classics and fails to integrate with contemporary esthetic theory and esthetic practice, and because of its being seriously conditioned by the many other defects. Only by returning to Marx for a comprehensive and precise understanding of Marxist esthetics first and foremost, by overcoming the defects in the course of development, by drawing on the positive results of Western Marxist esthetics and other schools, and by integrating itself closely with esthetic practice can China's esthetics extricate itself from a woeful predicament and realize self-transcendence.
