| 摘 要： | 在Svartvik对被动语态研究的基础上,采用随机抽样和统计处理,得出结论:除科技英语语篇外,新闻英语语篇中被动语态的出现频率在各类文体语篇中是最高的.就其在新闻英语中的功能而言,被动语态具有缓和语气,强调动作的承受者,使语篇话语衔接和连贯的作用;就翻译而言,应遵循新闻英语翻译的总原则,参照语境,灵活运用多种翻译技巧。

| Abstract: | Based on Svartvick's study on passive voice and random sample as well as statistical treatment, it can be concluded that among various English texts, passive voice appears most frequently in news English texts except technical English texts. In terms of its function, passive voice is likely to ease the mood, accentuate the acceptor of action, and achieve cohesion and coherence in News English texts; The translation of passives in news English texts should abide by the general principle of news English translation. It is also necessary to pay close attention to the context and adopt different translation techniques flexibly. |
