| Abstract: | Zhang Ai-ling, springing up in Shanghai's literary circles in 1940s, manifests nihility of life and fantasy of being in her essays. The essays also show absurdity,anxiety,lonelinessand desperation.Zhang Ai-ling's nihilist consciousness of being originated from the historical and cultural backgrounds of China in the first half of the 20th century. And at the same time, it also had a lot to do with her education and her unique life experience. |
