在20世纪2、30年代,日益＂边缘化＂的南阳盆地在遭受过往军队苛征和地方匪患的骚扰下,社会秩序全面崩溃。南阳盆地社会生态的衰败造成当地土地荒芜、农民逃亡（离村）人口剧增、农村副业由盛而衰、交通秩序破坏,农村经济濒临破产。尤为令人痛心的是,南阳盆地社会秩序的崩溃和社会生态的衰败加剧了农村的贫困化程度,当地农家生活已降低至最低水平。

The Decay of Rural Social Economy in Nanyang Basin in the 1920s and 1930s

During the 1920s and 1930s,the society of Nanyang Basin,which was gradually marginalized,broke down on a full scale because of the infliction by exorbitant taxes and levies from the dispatched troops and the molestation from the local bandits.As a result of the decay of the social ecology,the land was deserted as the peasants left their country,agriculture and sidelines industry fell into recession,transportation ran out of order,and the rural economy was on the verge of bankruptcy.What’s worse,the collapse of social order and decay of social ecology aggravated penury so that the living standard in the local country was reduced to the lowest.
