学习风格、教学风格与外语学习成绩的相关研究

摘    要:通过对高职高专学习风格、教学风格与学生外语学习成绩之间关系的实证性研究,表明学习风格与外语学习成绩有一定的相关性,是影响外语学习的重要因素之一;教学风格与学习风格失配与外语学习成绩未产生显著的负相关,两者的匹配与外语成绩亦无正相关,且在审慎型方面的匹配更与外语成绩呈显著负相关。根据研究结论,建议外语教师在教学时注重学生的学习风格,但并非一味匹配学习风格施教,而应根据培养目标、学习任务等采用适当的教学方式,包括匹配教学和拓展式的失配教学。从长远而言,这种多样化的教学方式对拓展学生的学习能力、促进其全面发展具有更为积极的作用。

Abstract:This paper is an empirical study on the correlation among learning styles,teaching styles and students’ English learning achievements in the vocational college setting.The major conclusions of this research study are: Learning style is an important factor in EFL study.Match and mismatch exit simultaneously between teaching styles and learning styles.However,the results suggest that match does not necessarily enhance learning and teaching,while mismatch may not always be considered a bad thing.Moreover,"match" not only refers to the compatibility between teaching and learning styles,but also the congruence of styles and training goals,learning tasks as well.If teaching style matches the requirement of the specific learning task,despite the mismatch between learning and teaching style,teaching may still be effective,and students’ learning may also be facilitated in the long run.The multi-dimensional teaching style which appropriately incorporates both the match and mismatch approaches may be helpful to expand student’s learning ability and do good to their future development,as well as to enhance students’ language learning in the EFL classroom.
