Xunzi's Socialization and Western Socialization:Comparative Research

Based on the comparative research on socialization thought of Xunzi and western socialization theory, the article analyzes their identical and different aspects. They all emphasize on the importance of social environment and the same generational group in the process of socialization.Owing to the different cultural characteristics, the obvious discrepancy lies in the starting point of their thought. Socialization thought of Xunzi is a view of integration, and western socialization theory directed by the individual theory. The reason of discrepancy is discussed from the different culture of Chinese and western.
