白寿彝先生编纂《回民起义》的学术价值

白寿彝先生编纂的《回民起义》(4册 ,约 2 0 0万字 ) ,是建国初中国史学会主持编选的《中国近代史资料丛刊》之一种。白先生于抗战时期即在云南致力于史料的搜求 ,建国后又进一步加以扩大和系统化。本文认为 ,此书的突出学术价值为 :搜集文献丰富 ,种类齐全 ,除官书和奏议外 ,还有大量私人著述和方志、碑刻资料 ,编者并作了精审的考证 ;善于剔别旧记载的偏见和诬枉 ,保留其中有价值的成分。故此书出版后一向受到近代史和民族史研究者的重视。

Academic Value of "The Hui people Uprising" Compiled by Pro. Bai Shouyi

The Hui People Uprising compiled by Pro. Bai Shouyi is one of Data Series on Chinese Modern History, selected and edited by the History Study Association at the beginning of the People's Republic. The historical datas was collected by Pro. Bai during the War of Resistance Against Japan, and was expanded and systematized after the founding of the People's Republic. Thus The hui people uprising has a rich and varied data source include government official books, memorials to the throne, lots of personal writings, local records and steles. Some extractive textual researches were made by editor at the same time. The editor was good at getting rid of the biases and falseness in the old records, and preserved valuable component in them. These are considered as the outstanding scientific values of this book by this paper, and this is the reason why it gets more attention from researchers of modern history and ethnic history.debyeditoratthes
