针对英美文学课程教学现状的思考

在外语教学中，不仅要培养学生的语言综合应用能力，还要使学生认识西方文化中根本性的思想观点和价值观念。阅读英美文学作品，不但能激发学习者的文学审美情趣，而且使学习者的素质、精神、品德、修养得到提高。然而由于种种原因，英国文学、美国文学等课程的教学并没有取得应有的成效。有必要对传统的英美文学课程进行教学改革与实践，使之适应新时代对复合型外语人才的要求。

On Current British and American Literature Teaching for English Majors

Foreign language teaching not only aims to cultivate students＇ competence of using the language, but also helps them to understand the basic thoughts and values in western culture. Reading British and American literature can cultivate students＇ aesthetic talents and improve their personality, mind, virtues as well as morality. However, owing to various reasons, both British literature and America literature do not get enough attention. Therefore, it is time that necessary innovations should be explored in response to the need for higher quality foreign language talents.
