A study of the trend of merchants' activities in the Ming-Qing Dynasties

With the development of commodity economy in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the organization of mechants became more and more sophisticated.Their management and business operation were showing a tendency of corporation,professionization,localization and a closer relation with politics.All these changes speeded up the development of the urban economy in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the enlargement of the merchants groups,and thus set the stage for China's mordernization.
