| 摘 要： | 《珍妮姑娘》是德莱塞小说中受到关注最少的一部。批评家多认为作品是强调人在环境中的无能为力,赞赏珍妮姑娘的自我牺牲精神。本文试用女权主义的一些观点进行分析,探讨作者德莱塞的男性视角是如何操纵着珍妮的命运及作品的创作的,进而揭示作品中所体现的男权文化和女性意识,并探析造成珍妮悲剧的根源,指出作者无法超越主流意识和男权中心文化。

| Abstract: | Jannie Gerhardt is Dreiser's novel that is least mentioned, most critics believe it emphasizes the impotence of human beings in the environment and praises Jannie's sacrifice for others. This present paper analyses briefly how the author's male perspective controls Jannie's fate and the creation of the work, presents the patriarchal power and feminist consciousness expressed in the novel and points out the causes of Jannie's tragedy. In this way, it shows that Drieser's inability to transcend the patriarchal consciousness and culture. |
